Osteopathie Het lichaam weer in balans
Osteopathy can be effective for a variety of complaints, such as:
Back- and neck complaints
Headaches and migraines
Kaakklachten (TMD)
Digestive complaints
Tension and stress related problems
Stress- en spanningsgerelateerde klachten
Klachten na blessure, operatie of zwangerschap

Frequently asked questions
Osteopathy is generally a gentle treatment method. The osteopath uses subtle techniques to release movement restrictions. Some techniques may cause temporary discomfort, but the treatment is usually not painful.
While physiotherapy primarily focuses on the musculoskeletal system (muscles and joints), osteopathy takes a broader view of the entire body, including organs, the skull, and connective tissue. Osteopathy is based on the principle that all parts of the body are interconnected. At Studio Motum, both disciplines can complement each other to achieve the best possible results.
At Studio Motum, multiple disciplines — physiotherapy, osteopathy, orthomolecular therapy, and personal training — work closely together under one roof. This unique multidisciplinary approach allows us to address your complaints from different angles, leading to more effective and long-lasting recovery.
Reimbursement depends on the type of treatment and your health insurance provider. Physiotherapy is usually covered under additional (supplementary) insurance. For osteopathy, orthomolecular therapy, and breathing therapy, coverage depends on your insurer and your supplementary package. We recommend checking with your health insurance provider in advance.
You don’t need a referral for physiotherapy (direct access applies). For our other disciplines, a referral is also not required. However, some health insurers may ask for one in order to reimburse the treatment. We recommend checking this with your insurer beforehand.
Absolutely! Thanks to our multidisciplinary approach, we can treat a variety of complaints, or even address a single complaint from different therapeutic perspectives. During the initial intake, we’ll discuss which combination of treatments best suits your situation.
During your first appointment, the therapist will conduct a thorough intake. We will discuss your symptoms, medical history, and expectations. This will be followed by a physical examination. At the end of the session, we will discuss a treatment plan, and if necessary, the first treatment will be provided immediately.
This depends on the type of treatment. A physiotherapy or personal training session lasts approximately 30 minutes. Osteopathy and orthomolecular therapy sessions typically last 45 to 60 minutes. During your first appointment, please allow extra time for the initial intake.
This varies per person and complaint. After the first session, the therapist can give you an indication of the expected number of treatments. We regularly evaluate your progress and adjust the treatment plan if necessary.
